Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe environment
• Take dental X-rays and perform other diagnostic tests as directed

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but new grads are welcome
• Compassionate and patient-focused care approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques and procedures
• Knowledge of dental software and charting systems
• Strong understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with a dental team
