Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, braces care, and post-treatment instructions to support their smile journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the dental team to optimize patient flow and deliver top-notch service.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent is preferred.
• Maryland state dental radiographer license or willingness to obtain it.
• Previous experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and the team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping a calm, friendly demeanor.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and orthodontic tools.
• Proficiency with dental software and accurate record-keeping.
• Excellent patient care and chairside manner.
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure safety.
