Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and comprehensive oral health assessments
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Screen patients for oral diseases and educate them on preventive care
• Apply fluoride and sealants to protect teeth
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with the dentist to provide exceptional patient treatment

Qualifications

• Current Virginia dental hygiene license
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion for patient care and attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency in dental software and charting systems
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Ability to educate patients on oral health
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
