Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays for patient diagnosis
- Provide patients with clear instructions and post-treatment care education
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Manage dental supplies and inventory to ensure a smooth workflow
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
- Maryland X-ray certification/licensure
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
- CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols
- Familiarity with orthodontic treatments, brackets, wires, and appliances
- Experience using dental practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent patient interaction and chairside manner
