Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest safety standards
  • Take and process dental X-rays accurately to support diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Provide patients with clear post-treatment instructions and answer their questions with empathy
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records, documenting treatments and progress
  • Manage supplies and inventory to keep the orthodontic practice running efficiently
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver outstanding care and exceptional patient satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience is valued
  • State radiology (X-ray) certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Prior orthodontic or dental assistant experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
  • Current BLS or CPR certification is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Denticon
  • Skills in taking radiographs and digital imaging
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Compassionate patient care and teamwork
