Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patient treatment rooms for dental procedures
• Assist the dentist during periodontal treatments and exams
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Assistant certification or permitted status
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in periodontics
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
