Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients
• Educate patients on preventive oral health practices
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile work environment
• Document patient histories, treatments, and observations
• Follow all infection control protocols and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Previous dental hygiene experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient care
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental anatomy and hygiene procedures
• Proficiency with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Familiarity with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to infection control standards
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
