Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe, hygienic environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene, braces care, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to help patients feel at ease

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in the state of Maryland
• Radiology/X-ray certification is required
• Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred, especially in orthodontics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and orthodontic procedures
• Familiarity with dental software for patient records and scheduling
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
• Compassionate and patient-friendly demeanor
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality care
