Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, maintaining the highest standards of infection control
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, empowering them to maintain healthy smiles
• Manage patient records and chairside assistance, keeping the practice organized and efficient
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training preferred
• Experience in orthodontic assisting or a strong willingness to learn
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography certification (if applicable in Maryland)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Denticon) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate patient care approach
