Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxes to keep patients smiling
• Take and process dental X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Support the dentist during procedures with seamless chairside assistance
• Document patient treatments clearly and maintain confidential health records
• Sterilize instruments and uphold strict infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
• Current CPR and BLS certification
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a warm chairside manner
• Reliable and flexible, ready to provide care on a per diem basis

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Comfortable with electronic dental records systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
