Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary conditions in the inpatient acute setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on restoring function, independence, and safe discharge
• Provide skilled hand therapy interventions as a key component of the diverse caseload
• Collaborate with hospitalists, nurses, and rehab team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Document patient progress accurately in the Cerner EMR system
• Float between inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings as needed to meet patient needs

Qualifications

• Current California Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• BLS certification required
• 2 years of experience preferred, though candidates with less experience will be considered
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday and float across settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Acute/inpatient occupational therapy expertise
• Hand therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation skills
• Strong clinical documentation and care planning abilities
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric populations
• Familiarity with early mobility and ventilator programs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
