Neonatologist

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, evidence-based neonatal care in a Level III NICU, including management of ELBW infants
- Manage advanced life support and interventions such as neonatal ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation
- Lead and participate in neonatal resuscitation efforts and a dedicated transport program
- Deliver therapeutic hypothermia (total body cooling) when indicated
- Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists, PICU/CVICU teams, surgeons and hospitalists to coordinate complex care
- Contribute to resident education and support the hospital’s academic affiliation
- Follow and help develop shared clinical practice guidelines to ensure continuity and quality of care for infants and families
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist (explicitly stated)
- New fellowship graduates through 2025 are welcome to apply
- Open to visa candidates (international applicants encouraged)
- Demonstrated experience or training with neonatal ECMO, high-frequency ventilation (jet and oscillator), iNO, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Experience or willingness to participate in neonatal transport and resuscitation teams
- Strong teamwork, communication skills and commitment to shared clinical practice
Education
- MD or DO with completed Pediatrics residency and Neonatology fellowship (Board Certified/Board Eligible)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in neonatology and NICU care, including ELBW management
- Skilled in neonatal ECMO and advanced ventilator strategies (jet and oscillator)
- Proficient with inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy and therapeutic hypothermia protocols
- Neonatal resuscitation and acute stabilization skills
- Experience with neonatal transport logistics and critical care coordination
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric subspecialty teams and teach residents
