Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Med-Surg patient population, managing a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure personalized attention
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote successful recovery at home
• Document patient progress accurately, maintain a safe environment, and respond quickly to changes in condition using strong clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oklahoma (or compact state licensure) is required and must be currently active
• Minimum of 1 year of Med-Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and provide holiday coverage as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med-Surg nursing principles and evidence-based practice
• Strong critical thinking and priority-setting skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with providers, peers and patients
• Comfortable with electronic documentation and maintaining accurate medical records
