Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures across all phases of care: pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure
• Administer moderate sedation safely and monitor patients' vital signs and comfort throughout procedures
• Assist the interventional radiologist during vascular and interventional cases, including scrubbing when needed
• Assess patient status, educate patients and families about procedures, and provide compassionate support before, during, and after treatment
• Participate in rotating call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure timely care for emergent cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a smooth, safe interventional suite and uphold quality standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience in all phases of patient care
• Active RN license in good standing (verified via Nursys)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Certification required
• Moderate sedation experience required
• Vascular and scrubbing experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment
• Skill in moderate sedation administration and patient monitoring
• Ability to scrub and assist in vascular cases
• Excellent patient assessment and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Understanding of safety protocols, infection control, and radiation safety
