Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Engage residents in activities and provide emotional support to enhance their quality of life
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to comply with facility requirements, including background checks
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of elderly care best practices and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassion, patience, and empathy when caring for residents
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
