Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 30-minute meal break

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while preserving their dignity and independence
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
  • Monitor and record vital signs, and observe any changes in residents' condition, reporting concerns to the nursing team
  • Support residents during meals, including feeding assistance and ensuring hydration and nutritional needs are met
  • Engage residents in meaningful social interaction and activities to support their emotional well-being
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Current Maryland GNA certification in good standing
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a genuine passion for caring for older adults
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents safely throughout your shift
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide a documented medical or religious exemption
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of long-term care and rehabilitation best practices
  • Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
  • Understanding of infection control standards and safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and team members
  • Familiarity with electronic health records or charting systems is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
