Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to nursing staff
  • Assist with mealtimes and feeding, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Uphold residents' dignity and rights while promoting independence

Qualifications

  • Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine or present a documented religious and/or medical exemption
  • Must bring a state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
  • Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to caring for others
  • Understanding of infection control and universal precautions
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize care tasks
