Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist geriatric patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate care that respects each patient's dignity and promotes independence
• Support rehabilitation therapy by encouraging patients and helping with exercises
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge while on duty
• New GNA grads encouraged to apply!

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to patient needs
• Ability to work as part of a care team
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documentation
• Time management and adaptability in a rehab setting
