Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Evening shift (Shift 2), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure comfort and safety
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to nursing staff
- Support residents during meals, including feeding assistance and hydration
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote well-being
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Must comply with facility vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccine or documented exemption
- Registry personnel must bring a valid state/federal ID and wear a photo badge at all times
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of elderly care principles and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the role
- Attention to detail in monitoring resident conditions
- Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and other caregivers
