Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure comfort and safety
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to nursing staff
• Support residents during meals, including feeding assistance and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote well-being

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccine or documented exemption
• Registry personnel must bring a valid state/federal ID and wear a photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of elderly care principles and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role
• Attention to detail in monitoring resident conditions
• Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and other caregivers
