Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain patient oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent decay
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care and update medical histories accurately
• Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Provide exceptional patient care in a friendly, welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a dental office is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping systems
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Compassionate patient care approach
