Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Document patient treatments and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical experience in dental hygiene
• Excellent communication and patient-education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and radiographs
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and dental software
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
• Ability to educate patients on oral health and preventive care
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
