Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to support oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care accurately and assist the dentist during procedures
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a dental office setting preferred, but new grads with clinical training are welcome to apply
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Skilled in taking dental radiographs and using digital imaging systems
• Understanding of HIPAA and infection control standards
• Ability to educate and motivate patients on oral wellness
• Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
