Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays with care and precision
- Educate young patients and their parents on oral hygiene and care
- Manage patient records and ensure a smooth patient flow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a dental office is a plus
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- A warm and patient demeanor when working with children
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Radiography (X-ray) certification or ability to obtain
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults
- Compassionate and patient approach to patient care
