Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients of all ages throughout the perioperative period
• Advocate for patients from admission through discharge in PeriOperative Services
• Provide skilled circulating and scrub support during surgeries including orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment
• Participate in on-call coverage to ensure surgical needs are met around the clock

Qualifications

• Active RN license that is currently in good standing (Montana license or compact state accepted)
• Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience
• Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy
• Strong background in perioperative nursing, including circulating and scrubbing responsibilities
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively during on-call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive patient assessment and care planning abilities
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and surgical asepsis
• Proficiency with PointClick EMR system
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with surgeons and staff
• Comfort with a fast-paced surgical environment
