Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate occupational therapy services that help patients regain their independence
- Implement personalized therapy interventions following each patient's plan of care
- Document patient progress with precision, ensuring accurate and timely records
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with supervising OTs and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection control, and compliance
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active state COTA license or the ability to obtain one before start
- A genuine passion for patient care and helping others
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Prior experience in rehab or skilled nursing is a plus, but not required
Education
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of occupational therapy interventions and modalities
- Excellent documentation and time-management abilities
- Patient education and family counseling skills
- Clear, compassionate communication
- Infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
