Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg pediatric unit
Perform thorough patient assessments and create clear, actionable nursing plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent care
Document patient care and clinical changes accurately in the medical record
Provide family-centered support and education for pediatric patients and caregivers

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in California or eligible to obtain one
Experience or interest in Med/Surg nursing with a pediatric focus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment and supporting families

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care
Proficiency with medication administration and safety protocols
Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs interpretation, and care planning
Competent documentation skills in electronic medical records
Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic clinical setting
Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and care teams
