Shift Type: Per diem varied days, primarily Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays as needed/available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and monitor ventilated patients in a dedicated vents unit, ensuring safe ventilator settings and troubleshooting as needed
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver evidence-based respiratory therapies
Collaborate closely with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
Document accurate, timely clinical notes in MatrixCare and maintain clear handoffs
Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide advanced airway support as required
Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring proper infection control and safety

Qualifications

Active WI respiratory therapist license required
RRT or CRT accepted
2+ years of current respiratory care experience, with long-term care experience preferred
MatrixCare experience preferred
Ability to pick up a minimum of 2-3 per diem shifts per month and keep up in a fast-paced vents unit

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ventilator management and ventilator troubleshooting skills
Experience working in long-term care environments and with medically complex patients
Comfortable in fast-paced clinical settings and responding to urgent respiratory needs
Proficient with clinical documentation systems, preferably MatrixCare
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
