Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop personalized care plans that help patients improve communication and quality of life
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize each patient's functional outcomes
• Document patient progress and update treatment goals to reflect evolving needs
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued progress
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive skilled nursing environment

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is a plus
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
• Current BLS certification
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best practices
• Proficient with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs
• Effective time management and organizational skills
