Speech Language Pathologist
Location: High Point, NC
Start Date: 08-10-2026
End Date: 11-07-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop personalized care plans that help patients improve communication and quality of life
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize each patient's functional outcomes
- Document patient progress and update treatment goals to reflect evolving needs
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued progress
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive skilled nursing environment
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is a plus
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
- Current BLS certification
- Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best practices
- Proficient with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs
- Effective time management and organizational skills
