Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients
• Monitor and manage ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments
• Respond to code blue and emergency situations promptly

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Valid Iowa state license or compact license eligible
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in respiratory equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Adaptability and flexibility with changing patient needs
