Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Operate and manage advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and IV pumps
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge care
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois (or compact state license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage complex, critically ill patients with multiple comorbidities
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and monitoring systems
