Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to renal telemetry and med-surg patients, many of them 65 and older
• Monitor cardiac drips and telemetry rhythms with confidence and precision
• Administer blood transfusions and manage blood specimens safely
• Perform dressing changes, central line care, and Foley care with skill
• Support patients through end stage renal disease, pre and post surgery, GI complications, cardiac, and hepatology needs
• Float across units as needed and adapt quickly to new teams and workflows
• Chart accurately in EPIC throughout every shift
• Collaborate with PCAs and interdisciplinary teams to keep care running smoothly on a 30-bed unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state license
• At least 2 years of RN experience, with 3 or more years preferred for success on this unit
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting
• Openness to floating and flexible scheduling
• Cardiac drip experience required

• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Notes: Daily Parking is $15+/day. Multiple options for on/off campus garages and lots ranging from $95 - $120 for monthly parking pass.
