Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry and vital signs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient status
• Advocate for patient safety and quality care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Previous PCU, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• ACLS certification is a plus

• Progressive care nursing principles and practices
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Recognition and response to cardiac and respiratory changes
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
