Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to maintain patient oral health
• Examine patients' teeth and gums for signs of disease or other oral health issues
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures as needed to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• CPR/BLS certification
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental equipment and hygiene procedures
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Proficiency in dental software for charting and maintaining patient records
