Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe, hygienic environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, using proper safety protocols
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care in a friendly, age-appropriate manner
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the dental team with administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiology/X-ray certification for dental assistants
• Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Chairside assisting skills with an emphasis on patient comfort
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
