Registered Nurse - OR (Peds)
Location: Spokane, Washington

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 10.5-hour shifts (flexible scheduling, as needed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for pediatric surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining sterile technique
- Monitor pediatric patients throughout their perioperative journey, advocating for their comfort and safety
- Document accurate intraoperative records and communicate effectively with the care team
- Provide compassionate support to patients and their families before, during, and after surgery
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to deliver exceptional pediatric care
Qualifications
- Current Washington RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
- Previous perioperative or OR nursing experience is a plus
- Pediatric nursing experience is highly valued
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
- Familiarity with pediatric surgical instruments and equipment
- Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and emergency response
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic surgical environment
- Team collaboration and clear communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
