Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro med/surg patients, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage patient pain effectively.
Perform wound care, maintain surgical drains, and manage nasogastric and chest tubes.
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Conduct bedside shift reports and engage patients and families in care planning.
Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience preferred.
Proven ability to start IVs and manage complex patient needs including surgical drains and tubes.

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing experience with neuro patients.
Ability to prioritize care and multitask efficiently.
IV start and basic wound care skills.
Familiarity with surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
Telemetry monitoring and documentation in Meditech.
Compassionate patient communication and commitment to patient experience.
