Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population on a 30-bed unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Maintain a positive, timely, and professional attitude while adapting to a fast-paced level 1 trauma environment
• Support the Dedicated Education Unit culture by focusing on excellent direct patient care and teamwork

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience in a level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital preferred
• Active RN license in Georgia or a compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Positive attitude and timeliness are essential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical skills including assessment, wound care, and patient education
• Comfortable with patient ratios of 5-6:1 in a busy hospital setting
• Knowledge of EHR documentation and hospital protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
• BLS and ACLS certification knowledge
