Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures like braces, aligners, and retainers
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment
• Take dental x-rays and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain patient records and update treatment charts

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Assistant Certification required
• Experience in dental assisting, ideally in an orthodontic setting
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Chairside assisting techniques
• Radiography and X-ray safety
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Great communication and patient rapport
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping
