Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients throughout the night
• Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold high quality care standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a valid compact/multi-state license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent Med/Surg nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work weekend night shifts (Friday through Sunday)
• Completion of Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
• Med/Surg nursing best practices and evidence-based care
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
