Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a med/surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor vital signs and proactively communicate any changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes
• Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous pediatric or med/surg nursing experience is a plus
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
