Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient vital signs and promptly report changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or a compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Previous acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts and adapt to changing patient needs
• Completion of an accredited nursing program

• Medical-surgical nursing principles and evidence-based practices
• Patient assessment, monitoring, and early recognition of deterioration
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and pain management
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and time management in a fast-paced environment
• Infection control and safety protocols
