Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a general medicine unit
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience in med/surg or general medicine preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Willingness to work night shifts and every third weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of general medicine nursing practices
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team
