Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and cardiac patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create coordinated care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments and interventions accurately to ensure quality and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut or a compact state, or willingness to obtain
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous Med-Surg or Cardiac nursing experience preferred
• Completion of Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check
• Up-to-date on required vaccinations and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Solid understanding of med-surg nursing protocols and best practices
• Excellent clinical documentation skills
• Compassionate patient education and communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
