Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safety
• Assist obstetricians during deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate new parents on newborn care, feeding, and recovery
• Administer medications, IVs, and pain management as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a positive birth experience

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Iowa or a compact state
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• A passion for maternal-child health and a positive, team-oriented attitude

• Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team
