Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal heart rates, interpreting and responding to changes promptly
• Assist with labor, delivery, and recovery, including emergency interventions as needed
• Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NRP certification
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Willingness to complete Trinity competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices
• Proficient in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and reassuring bedside manner
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
