Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), assessing vital signs and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on conditions and post-discharge care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Illinois (or compact license)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous ICU experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Proficiency in managing ventilators and monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
