Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures to produce high-quality images
• Operate portable imaging equipment in the emergency room and surgery suite when needed
• Provide patient-centered education and verbal reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Document procedures accurately, maintain procedural records and ensure confidentiality
• Assess and support patient care needs, including accommodating language barriers
• Work independently with proficiency while collaborating professionally with the care team
• Participate in rotating on-call weeknight and weekend coverage to support patient needs
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment readiness

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• State of Kansas licensure required; may start with Kansas license pending (must provide proof of application if offered)
• Graduation from a minimum 2-year radiologic technology program; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or related field required
• One year of radiologic/CT experience preferred, new graduates will be considered
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption
• Ability to work independently, professionally, and participate in on-call rotations

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (acceptable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging and general radiography techniques
• Experience with portable imaging in ER and surgical settings
• Strong patient care skills and patient education abilities
• Accurate procedural documentation and record keeping
• Comfortable working in a small critical access hospital environment
• Excellent communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure during emergent situations
