Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical abilities and create personalized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and home care strategies
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve goals
• Document progress accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff
• Promote a positive, encouraging environment that inspires patients to reach their potential

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or rehab setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for helping patients improve their quality of life
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality use
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and treatment planning
• Excellent patient education and motivational skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
