Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on physical therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training that rebuild strength and confidence
• Track patient progress and document treatments accurately so every care plan stays on target
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and physicians to support each patient's recovery goals
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies for life after discharge
• Help patients in a subacute setting regain independence and celebrate every milestone along the way

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Hands-on experience in subacute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is a big plus
• Current BLS certification
• Comfortable working a full-time day schedule with 35 guaranteed hours per week
• A team player with a warm bedside manner and a genuine passion for patient progress
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times

• Solid understanding of therapeutic exercise techniques and rehabilitation principles
• Strong patient assessment and progress-tracking abilities
• Clear, caring communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation skills
• Adaptability and patience when supporting patients with varying functional levels
• Collaboration mindset that shines in a fast-paced subacute care environment
