Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, helping them feel safe and respected
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility throughout the overnight hours
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report any changes to the nursing team
• Help residents get comfortable and settled for a restful night's sleep
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs with a calm, reassuring presence
• Collaborate closely with nurses and fellow caregivers to keep care plans on track
• Keep resident spaces clean, organized, and welcoming
• Document care accurately so every shift flows smoothly into the next

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in geriatric or long-term care is a plus, but new GNAs are welcome to apply
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccination, or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• A caring heart, a steady work ethic, and a genuine love for helping older adults
• Ability to lift, move, and reposition residents safely throughout the shift
